You do not have to buy a plot to enter. Verifying a phone number on your account earns 1 free ticket, good for every drawing from the point you earn it onward. This is limited to one free ticket per verified phone number for the entire promotion, and is separate from any tickets earned by purchase — email-only accounts do not receive this ticket, since a verified phone number is what keeps this free path from being claimed many times over by one person.
Buying a plot earns tickets based on its district. A single order can include several plots, and each plot's tickets are counted separately.

If someone signs up using your referral link, verifies a phone number on their account, and completes their first purchase, you receive 5 tickets. This is only credited once per referred friend, on their first purchase — it is not credited for signing up alone, not credited if they never verify a phone number, and not credited again on their later purchases.
Every ticket you earn — by purchase, referral, or free phone verification — remains valid for every drawing that happens after you earn it, not just the next one. Tickets are never removed from your account except by winning (see Section 7).
A drawing is held each time the map crosses one of four thresholds, measured as the percentage of all 14,400 plots sold. Every drawing has 25 winners, split the same way: the top 3 places get a named amount, and the remaining 22 winners split what's left evenly.

Before each drawing, we generate a secret random number and publish only its cryptographic hash on the site — this proves the number was fixed in advance, without revealing it yet. At the drawing itself, we combine that secret number with the hash of a specific Bitcoin block mined around the time of the draw — a public, external source of randomness that nobody, including us, can predict or control in advance. The combined result determines the 25 winning tickets, drawn one at a time in order. This happens on a live stream, where the secret number is revealed and the calculation is shown as it happens. Afterward, the secret number, the Bitcoin block used, and the resulting winners stay published permanently, so anyone can redo the calculation themselves and confirm the result. Once a ticket is drawn as a winner, that specific ticket is removed from the pool for the rest of that drawing and for future drawings — the rest of that person's tickets, if any, remain eligible.
